I have configured my CRM 2011 server for claims-based authentication and ADFS server has two Claims Provider Trusts configured.
I don't want my users to have to select their security realm on ADFS and therefore I want to provide them with shortcuts to CRM with their security realm specified (using the whr parameter).
The problem that I'm getting is the following:
The user navigates to CRM using https://crmhost/orgname?whr=realm_uri. CRM opens in the browser and the user can work. If the user tries to open another instance of CRM using the URL containing the whr parameter, while the original browser instance is still open, the server returns a 404 error. If the user just uses https://crmhost/orgname then CRM opens normally.
The user can only open CRM again using the original URL (the one containing the whr parameter) once all the browser windows have been closed.
This is the case with IE, Chrome as well as FireFox so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the browser used.
Interestingly once IFD is configured the above problem doesn't manifest when using the "external" URL with the whr parameter but using the "internal" URL still causes 404s.
BTW: I'm running Rollup 12.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
