We have a dynamics CRM 2011 deployment with a single web front end, and need to expand it to add additional front end servers. All of the guidance I see from Microsoft discusses how to do this from ground zero - when you first deploy the organization. At the time of the initial deployment, we didn't perceive a need from multiple front end servers to serve the very small community of users. We're now in a situation where we'd like to expand it, and there's not much guidance.
We do already have F5load balancers in play supporting mutiple other web farms. There are mentions on the MS docs I've seen of using hardware load balancers instead of NLB - but that's essentially all the guidance I can find on non-NLB load balanced
load balancing for CRM.
Any info anyone has? Looking for the shortest path between a one web server front end, and a multiple server front end for an existing 2011 deployment.
Thanks.
