Server Side Sync and Outlook Tracking Options Issue

CRM 2013 UR2 On-Premise with Exchange 2013 / Outlook 2013 / Windows 8.

When an email is tracked using ServerSide Sync the icon in Outlook doesn't change to show its been tracked, the button to [View in CRM] stays greyed out so it looks like the email hasn't been tracked, once you try and manually track it the buttons become useable again. Using the standard [Microsoft Dynamics CRM Outlook] to track email automatically does this but server side sync doesn't so the user cant see if its been tracked or not.

Has anyone else come across this? or know of a work around?
